Cerentry Bio

Cerentry has developed a proprietary brain shuttle designed to enable transport of systemically administered therapeutics across the brain’s protective barriers and deliver drugs to the brain.

Brain disorders are prevalent and impact billions of people across the globe. They pose a major health burden. Despite advances, treatments remain limited due to the brain barriers that prevent therapeutic agents from reaching the brain.

Strategies for drug delivery to the brain have almost exclusively focused on penetrating the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Cerentry develops drug conjugates for transport across the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB) delivering drugs directly into the ventricles, for better access to the central nervous system (CNS).

About us

Cerentry is a spin-out based on collaborative work between professors Katrine Qvortrup from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Mette Rosenkilde from the University of Copenhagen (KU). We are currently in the Venture Lab accelerator program, receiving joint support from the BioInnovation Institute (BII) and the Lundbeck Foundation (LF). This support will help advance our brain shuttle to the next stage.
